Since the club was formed in 1875, Hurst Cricket Club has always been, and will continue to be, a family club.
The club runs two sides on Saturdays, with the 1st Xl competing in Division 2 of the Thames Valley Cricket League and the 2nd Xl side competing in Division 6. We also run a Sunday side, dedicated to blooding younger colts members, under the supervision of establipshed 1st and 2nd X1 players, against a mixture of local village sides and leading wandering clubs.
Hurst Cricket Club has a comprehensive and leading youth policy. We have a large number of professionally qualified and dedicated coaches who coach a colts section of up to 100 youngsters between the ages of 9 and 17. Competitive matches, at all age groups, are run each season.
Our ground is considered to be one of the prettiest in the Thames Valley and surrounding areas and years of dedicated grounds men have developed a quality wicket which, over the years, has given us the opportunity to host representative cricket from Under 11's to Minor Counties.
At Hurst CC, we do not entertain the idea of paying players for the privilege of wearing the Hurst CC shirt. Over the years, players such as Courtney Walsh, Jack Russell, Matthew Hoggard and Kevin Shine, have all turned out at Hurst Lodge – all of which have never been paid to do so, but have done so purely because Hurst CC is a well run, family club with tremendous tradition and spirit. Hurst Cricket Club welcomes all new members, both players and social members. Please come and join us!
